Three days to go til I fly out to Virginia to start my newest US trek.
Nerves ahoy, I reckon.

Why? Well, it's not the convention itself.
I'm dead psyched for that. July 17th to 19th, you know where to find your Phoenixian Banchou.

But, rather the Virginia trip where I get to play "Meet The Parents", and somehow, maybe it's just said nerves, but, I don't see it playing out in a Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro kind of way.

My new hours at work are killing me.
The constant 11:30 - 20:00 shift is giving me killer migranes and mking me feel weak and tired all the time. I'm so glad to be getting away from it for a few days to just chill out and get my head together. Not to mention the moods I've been swinging through.

Been meaning to mention it for a while now, but my budgie had an accident last week.
She fell off the perch, and I thought she'd broken her wing, she was flapping around the bottom of the cage like crazy, but on further inspection we'd found that the nail of her talon was... caught in her nose... yeah, Inorite? Big WTF?

After setting the cage on the table, we opened it quickly at the bottom and set the actual cage down quickly so I could get to Bonnie in the basin, when suddenly she burst out and tried to fly at the window, but crashed and fell behind the sofa. D:

I reached down and got her, carefully putting her back in the basin and covering her with their "sleep blanket" to stop her moving and placing the cage back on the basin while taking off the sleep blanket.

Some fricking Adventure, haha.

She's ok now, her nail has yet to grow back. Not sure if it will, but all the vet could do is give multi-vitamins for her water, and to let him know if her condition got worse because she could have to be put down.
So far so good, it hasn't come to that, and the male budgie's constantly looking after her.

They were affectionate before, but now it's more so. He won't even let anyone near the cage without squaking all protectively. I kind of like it, haha.
Clyde's a real man and full of GAR it seems. XD

Right now, just installing my Printer to the laptop so I don't have to use the main PC all the time to scan/print.
Gonna see if I can manipulate this new dA Journal skin.
